About Us
The Vision
The foundation aims to promote the spiritual, social, cultural and social interests of vulnerable groups in society, to promote the emancipation and participation of women, as well as to improve their position and awareness, to promote and stimulate social cohesion, social participation, sports and culture in the neighbourhoods, and furthermore everything that has a direct or indirect connection with this or that may be conducive to it, all in the broadest sense of the word. The foundation has an ideal goal and does not aim at making a profit.
The foundation tries to achieve its goal by, among other things:
- 1. Providing information to socially, culturally and socially disadvantaged people
- 2. Stimulating personal development based on your own needs, women to use their talents and offer opportunities for themselves and for other women to achieve emancipation and participation
- 3. The strengthening of our women's network and the promotion of expertise of volunteers
- 4. Stimulating the involvement of (neighbourhood) residents in improving the quality of life of the neighbourhood
- 5. Organizing courses, workshops, conferences, lectures and fairs; publishing books and distributing literature
- 6. The collaboration and sharing of knowledge with other organizations and institutions that pursue the same goal, both nationally and internationally

Founder / Chairperson
For Rev. HelenRuth Dorkenoo, Royal Daughters has been a long-cherished dream and passion, by which to reach out to and support fellow women to become stronger, self-reliant and empowered to support themselves and their families.
By calling, she is a minister of religion and senior pastor of Rivers of Life Bible Church, a full-gospel Pentecostal church based in Amsterdam. She is a Sociology and English language major graduate of University of Jos in Plateau state, Nigeria. She is also a media professional, with over ten years active experience in radio and TV broadcasting.
She currently serves as director of Radio Voice of Naija, an award-winning grassroots radio station in Amsterdam, and is also a TV host of shows on Majesty TV. She is an engaging, well-sought after conference and motivational speaker.
She is also the founder and CEO of HelenRuth Webinars, a relationship and family-life consultancy. She is a trusted community leader and builder, and as a dual Nigerian and Dutch citizen, works and executes projects in Ghana as well. She is happily married to Rev. Dr. Larry Dorkenoo and they both live in Amsterdam.
